I love candy buffets at weddings and parties. They bring out the child in all of us and are a great way of thanking your guests for making your day all the more sweeter.
Do it right and it can serve as a gorgeous feature at your wedding venue. There are lots of companies that can set these up for you or you can go the DIY route.
If you choose to do it yourself, the first thing to do is start collecting contains a few months before hand. Old fashioned glass jars are great. You can always rent these from your wedding planner, florist etc if you don’t want to buy them. Stores like IKEA are great for picking jars up. The thing to remember is to get clear containers as these create a visual stunning spread when filled with the colored candy. You can purchase labels like the ones below and either stick directly to the glass jars, to the paper bags or boxes guests will be taking away with them or onto some cardstock and attach to jars with matching ribbon.

The next thing you want to do is think about decorating the table. Why not add some pictures of the bride and groom as children, scatter the table with rose petals or add a table runner in your wedding colors. You can print up a little poem and place it in a frame on the table. The aim of the poem is to express your thanks to your guests and let them know they can treat themselves!
When choosing the candy, you can either choose candy from your childhood or choose candies that fit with your wedding color theme. Buffets always look more impressive when the Candies are color coordinated, but it is your wedding so choose the candies that best suit you personalities as a couple!
